My name is Dana; I am a loving wife to Paul and mother to three living children. I own a home based business Unique Christening Gowns.
In September 2000 Unique Gowns by Dana opened our doors for business. Originally our range of handmade garments included flower girls and communion dresses. The constant increase in sales of our Unique Christening Gowns range changed our business into specialised christening wear field it is today.
In Oct '08 I was introduced to Angel Babies Gone too soon on facebook ... mums asked me to make angel burial gowns. With the amazing support from parents, I have created Angel Gowns. I am the Co-Founder and President of Ourangelbaby.org not for profit community and last year I received a nomination for Australian of The Year 2010.
With each passing day, I became more and more comfortable and at ease taking to parents. We cry together, we laugh together. I feel truly blessed to be a part of the community, many of whom I will never meet face to face. Knowing that a kind word, a smile, a cyber hug can make such an impact on someone else's life makes me feel humble. I volunteer all my spare time to bring a world together into a little community, which is sadly growing every day. It has been voiced by many that, Angel Baby providing support to everyone regardless of their age and religion brought them dear friends who know what they go through each day... We are all the same yet different in every possible way.
It is my hope that the Angel Baby community will be instrumental in uniting all hospitals, support groups and charities, helping them to work alongside each other to bring about a much needed change by lifting up the veil of silence. Single our voices go unheard, united we can bring a wave of change. All life is precious, all babies are loved, the ones in our arms and the precious Angels parents hold close to their hearts. I am a proud Angel Godmother and I do believe In Angels ♥

About the Angel Baby Community:
Ourangelbaby.org was created to help unite families with others in our situation. It is our hope that you will find others who can help you heal and ones that in turn you can help through your own experience. We come from all different backgrounds, races, and religious aspects. We each have our own story to tell. Some have lost their child due to miscarriage, stillbirth, others were born sick, and some have passed on from SIDS. Though we are all different we each have one thing in common we are now a part of an exclusive group one that none of us wanted to be a part of. However it is through our experiences, our friendships, and our strength that we can help one another to grow and to come to terms with our losses. We believe that in connecting one with another we can and will find a way to mend our hearts and forge new friendships with others that understand. |
